Week 1 Update
Ladies and Gents...We are underway!! OK, we are slightly down on numbers from last season, with a total of 33 managers this year...the credit crunch has taken its toll on the GFFL with a number of people citing financial reasons for dropping out...but we've gained a few newbies (welcome to you lot...you know who you are!), so we're still looking healthy.
Due to reduced numbers, the prize fund is slightly down this year, so i've had to tweak the prizes...details below in the money section.
Anyway, down to business.....
Monthly
This being a short month, it's important to make a good start, and Mellie-Mel gets off to a flyer..helped by having Agbonlahor and Deco in her team! Her good friend and Borough Market Cheese Mogul, Elliott J, is close behind in 2nd.
In the battle of the Parry brothers, it's Roland who takes the honours this week, in 3rd. Bowyer and defending champion, JonB from Bolton, are tied for 4th, and the other Parry brother, Ed, is 6th.
The signs are ominous for Minute-meister, Jonny, as he is last on an unlucky 13 points....be afraid Mr S!
Yearly
Nothing to report here as positions are as per the Monthly placings.
Money
Last seasons Credit Crunch Trophy contenders, Darren and Blissy, have both dropped out this season, so we are gauranteed a new winner this season! For the newbies info, this is the section where we name and shame the slow payers. It's early doors, but we already have a number of people who have yet to make their initial £25 payment, so please check the Money section on the downloadable spreadsheet (link is near top right of this page!) to see if you need to make a payment. As a reminder to all who have yet to pay, it's an initial £25 payment due now, followed by £5 per month starting in September, through to January inclusive. Alternatively, feel free to pay the whole £50 in one hit if you'd prefer!
Next payout day is Wednesday 3rd September 2008. This includes all matches played up to 31st August 2008.

Total: £90 x 10 months = £900
